Ans:- Tamil Nadu - The Tamil Nadu government will set up India's first Dugong Conservation Reserve in Palk Bay on the state's southeast coast. Dugong commonly known as sea cow. Dugong or Sea Cow is an endangered marine mammal facing extinction due to habitat loss, marine pollution. According to estimates by the Wildlife Institute of India (WII), there are only 200-250 dugongs left in the wild, of which 150 are found in the Palk Bay and Gulf of Mannar in Tamil Nadu. For this reason India's first Dugong Conservation Reserve will be set up in Tamil Nadu.
